Yaw Anim Obiri enrolled at Nifa Secondary School in September 1983 and left after Form 3 to continue his education at Half-Assini Secondary School in the Western Region of Ghana. A native of Adukrom-Akuapem, Yaw was very active in sports during his three years at Nifa. He represented House 1 in track and field during the school’s annual inter-house athletics competitions.

After his education, Yaw’s career path would lead him to the finance sector. He worked at the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department from 1989 to 2000 before he left to pursue further career opportunities in England.

In 2002, he moved to the United States of America where he is now established as an Independent Business Owner specializing in Financial Education in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is also a licensed Insurance Agent with the World Financial Group.

Outside of work, Yaw serves as Secretary and Board Member of his local church, Great Grace Assembly of God.
