Michael Adu (aka Wachito) graduated from Nifa Secondary School in 1982 after a five-year course majoring in business studies. Michael was an active member of the school community, a volleyball player and the House 3 prefect in his final year.
After his graduation, Michael pursued an entrepreneurial career in Ghana, with a focus on entertainment promotion. He made a significant contribution to nightlife in Ghana’s capital city, Accra, and other parts of the country in the mid-eighties, bringing Ghana’s top disc jockeys and the latest music to discotheques, clubs and hotels.
Now based in Denver, Colorado, Michael has work experience in the United States mental health and airport security systems, among other fields of work. His current business interests include car hiring and building and construction, with epoxy flooring as his specialty. Michael visits Ghana regularly and takes the opportunity to visit NISEC, meet the school authorities and see first hand the school’s infrastructure situation.
