Helena Adu (Bampo) enrolled at Nifa Secondary School in 1977 and graduated in 1982. Her desire to help educate and provide care for children would shape her education and career endeavors in the years that followed.
After Nisec, Helena continued her education at Aburi Women’s Training College and graduated as a qualified teacher in 1989. She then worked for a few years as a Junior Secondary School teacher in the Eastern Region of Ghana before migrating to the United States of America where she pursued higher education and a career in nursing.
Helena studied at the Bronx Community College and later transferred to Adelphi University, where she attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Helena is currently working as a pediatric nurse in New York.
