Annual general meeting April 2023:
Highlights (Part 1)

The “Hot Seat” experience was a hit initially, with heightened interest and good participation. However, interest and participation dwindled over time.

How can we be more active?

Audio messaging: Let's try it!

I would like to thank the leaders for the good works that they’re doing. The issue of participation of members is not anything new. It was the biggest problem during our term in office. I would encourage you not to give up. We should also encourage members to post audio messages, if they find it easier – one doesn’t have to edit and correct their grammar …  Let’s try it!

Making contribution is not easy

We are doing our best, and we need to encourage ourselves. In the future, some of the youth will find out what we have done.  Making contributions is not easy, but that’s how we would achieve our objectives (We can’t depend on the government).  One day we will all be proud to see the outcome of our efforts, and know that our money has been used for a worthy cause.

Work makes sacrifice difficult

I thank all the leaders. We don’t have to be discouraged. The school is in a poor condition, and I can’t understand that parents are allowing their children to attend. During lockdown people had time, but they are now busy, working also on weekends and that makes sacrifice more difficult. .

Response and appreciation

Sometimes when I ask people to send information to feature on their birthday, they would fail to respond. It would be helpful if we would respond promptly, and also appreciate the work that others do. We all need encouragement and motivation from one another.

Regular Contributors

In a family, there are those who always contribute, and we should consider ourselves as one of them, always ready to give. As long as our funds  remain in the treasury unused, it will lose its value.  Prices of building materials always go up and I wonder if we know of a reliable person in Ghana who could start buying the items needed for the project.
